If your fridge stops working or needs maintenance during the rental term, we will work closely with property management to replace your unit. To request a new fridge, please reach out to your dorm administration.

Is insurance required for the fridge?

Insurance is not required, but is highly recommended. Insurance protects you from any unforeseen accidents while you have your fridge. If you choose not to buy insurance and your fridge stops working, is damaged, or goes missing, your credit card will be charged for the purchase of a new fridge.
How do I prepare my fridge for pickup at the end of the term?

Please follow these steps: Unplug the fridge and tuck the cord into the back of the fridge. Empty the fridge. Defrost the freezer by placing a towel under the unit, unplugging the unit, and leaving the doors open for 8 hours. Do not scrape off any ice, as this may damage the unit. Clean the fridge by wiping it with a damp cloth. Remove any stickers or magnets from the outside of the unit. Ensure all racks are placed back into the proper position. Leave the doors open to ensure good circulation.
